Flights Booked!!

Today I booked my flight to Dallas for our new annual Mother's Day weekend at Canton, TX! :) Last year for mother's day, my sister and I surprised my mom with a hotel and day at Canton just us 3! Canton is this massive place that has trade days/flea markets in which you can find about almost anything you could possible want. Seriously, it has food, furniture, clothes, plants, home decor, candles, and anything else that makes a girl giddy for a major good deal!! :)

Well, this year I booked a flight to save on the time and now that gas is so expensive and costs me $57 to fill up the van, I found great deals on flights! In fact, coming home, I got the ticket for $49 which was so awesome....savings on time and money.
I can't wait to for this weekend. My sister, my mom, no kids, yummy food, and incredible flea market finds. Let the countdown begin.... :)

We Have a Name....

Yep...Ryan finally named the church we will plant in Katy, Tx~

Cross Community Church
I absolutely love it! I think saying Cross Community of Katy just sounds so..right!
So, now that Ryan finally landed a name, we will soon set up a site where many of our friends and family can follow our church planting journey and know specific ways of how to partner with us in prayer.

I promise to pass along the website/blog very soon so you all can join. Thanks already for all the love, prayers, and encouragement with starting up this new church...

The Fly By Spring Break

Wow, I can't believe Spring Break is already over! It flew by so fast but I guess that's what happens when you are having lots of fun and do a little traveling. :)
We started off in the Dallas area with my family and had a great visit with a lot of my aunts and uncles and my grandparents and a little trip downtown to the Ft. Worth Stockyards.
We headed home on Monday only to welcome Ryan's parents here for the rest of the week. We went to the Houston rodeo, Kemah Boardwalk(don't even ask...a local should know better) lol ;) , and Froberg's Farm in Alvin to pick strawberries! It was a FULL week, but amazing. The weather was nice and so was the down time. Here are some pics of all the happenings of our Spring Break. Enjoy. :)

Spring Means...

All things new and fun! :) For being a girl who loves winter, this year I've really been ready for Spring and not sure why!? I think my soul is craving what Spring ushers in our lives. A time for growth, time of blooms & vibrant colors, time with family, breaks in school, schedules, routines, and celebration of Easter.
The cool mornings and sunny, warm blue afternoon skies have been refreshing and have made me look forward to Spring Break with my girls!
Last year, we took the girl's to Sea World so this year we are doing all things Rodeo/Texas style! ;) While we are at my parents house, we are taking the girls to Ft Worth Stockyards and then coming home to enjoy the Rodeo festivities here in Houston. I think I'm more excited than my girls about the Stockyards! LOL :) I haven't been there since Ryan and I were dating and now there is so much more in downtown Ft Worth. Best part...free activities all day Saturday! :)
So~ since Spring is in the air down here in South TX, I hope these days bring you smiles and warmth, days outside, and time with family. Let me know some fun things you have planned..even if its totally no plans at all! ;) Enjoy your Spring Break friends and family.
